Vermeer Marketplace — multi-vendor scale
A marketplace growing faster than its platform could handle, with manual seller payouts and search that fell over past 200,000 listings. We rebuilt the catalog and search layer, automated split payments and payouts, and made tax and fulfilment region-aware.
| Client profile | |
|---|---|
| Sector | Multi-vendor marketplace |
| Size | 2,400 sellers, 1.2M listings |
| Region | 7 regions across EU and UK |
| Replaced | Custom PHP monolith, manual payouts |
| Timeline | 6 months, launched January 2026 |

- 2,400 active sellers, up from 480
- GMV up 3.1x year on year
- Search latency 41ms across 1.2M listings
- 100 percent automated payouts

We tripled GMV on a platform that had already fallen over twice. Search went from our biggest complaint to something nobody mentions any more.

How we report results
Every number on this page comes from the client’s own analytics, ERP or Core Web Vitals field data, measured over a full quarter after launch and compared with the same quarter the year before. Where a figure could not be measured cleanly we have left it out rather than estimate it.
