Headless Commerce Architecture
Headless is not a goal in itself. The goal is being able to change one part of your commerce stack — search, CMS, payments, ERP — without touching the other four. We design the boundaries so that is actually true.

The layers we design
- Presentation: web storefront, mobile app, POS and marketplace channels
- Experience API: a GraphQL gateway that shapes data for each channel
- Commerce services: catalog, cart, orders, pricing and promotions
- Systems of record: ERP, PIM, WMS, search and customer data
What this buys you
Replaceable parts
Swap Algolia for Elastic, or your CMS for another, without a storefront rewrite.
Independent release cycles
Marketing ships content daily while engineering ships services weekly.
Channel reuse
The same commerce services power web, app, POS and marketplace listings.
Contained blast radius
A failure in search or reviews degrades gracefully instead of taking checkout down.
When headless is the wrong answer
If you run a single channel, a small catalog and no ERP, a well-tuned monolithic platform is cheaper to run and faster to ship. We will tell you that in discovery rather than sell you an architecture you do not need.
